The Stanford Shopping Center project was a multi-phase expansion and upgrade program. To establish an urban fabric with uncluttered pedestrian walkways, multiple overhead canopies were designed to be removed, promoting comfortable shopping throughout the day and seasons. Furthermore, there were numerous upgrades and enhancements to the existing mall’s Main Street that include innovative store front designs, multiple lighting strategies, landscaping and water features.
Pre-construction included value engineering as well as strategizing for the demolition of the existing Bloomingdale’s Department Store and the subsequent siting of five stand-alone retail buildings, all while allowing for full operations at this thriving mall. Phase I included extensive utility relocations, service upgrades, and building pads for the new Flemings Steakhouse and Bloomingdale’s which mark the beginning of this multi-year mall expansion and improvement plan.
Phase I completed ahead of Owner’s schedule.
Infrastructure work completed with zero disruptions of mall operations.
Fast-track, multi-phase construction.
Multiple tenants of high-end retail requiring proactive and tactical communications.
